Careful Planning for Your Future and Your Legacy

About

Shane Bartee hails from Centralia, Missouri.  After attending Mizzou for two years, he graduated from Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas, in 1990. On the same day, he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the United States Army.  Shortly after, he married fellow SMU grad Susanna Hickman and the Bartees made their first home at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

At Fort Rucker, Shane attended the Army Aviation Flight and Officer Basic School where he became an Apache pilot, serving in that capacity for six years.  He then attended the University of Virginia School of Law and then entered the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps as an attorney for the Army.

After serving all over the world for more than 21 years, Shane officially retired from the Army in 2011 and he and his family settled in Weston. After some years practicing law with the Department of Justice, Environmental Protection Agency, and Cerner Corporation, Shane now has his own law office here in Platte County.

Shane has practiced law in numerous areas, to include criminal law, regulatory law, and administrative law.  His practice now focuses on estate planning and probate law.  A licensed agent with Blue Bridge Realty, Shane also does a considerable amount of real property law.

Shane and Susanna reside in Weston and have six children—Abigail, Hannah, Hank, Lucy, Hutch, and Adam.  Shane currently serves on the West Platte School District Board of Education.
